Scholars will be clinical or research postdoctoral fellows (M.D., Ph.D., or M.D./Ph.D.), clinical or research instructors, or recently appointed Assistant Professors who are within 5 years of completion of residency or receipt of Ph.D.
K12 scholars must be citizens or non-citizen nationals of the United States or must be lawfully admitted to the United States for permanent residence (i.e., in possession of a currently valid Alien Registration Receipt Card I-155 or other legal verification of such status).
Will no longer be accepting applications for the Omics K12 grant, this grant will be ending 5/31/18.

Once all applications have been received, the Program Directors (F. Sessions Cole, M.D.; Barak Cohen, Ph.D.; and Michael Holtzman, M.D.) and the Advisory Committee will review and discuss each candidate based on the following criteria: past academic and research experience, letters of recommendation, potential to develop as an omics researcher, and the relevance of the applicant's proposed research to the overall goals of the K12.
